18:49 BST . Called to aid of the 21 foot, yacht Thistle Dew with three persons on board, reported 1.5 miles east of Langness.
The yacht which had no auxillary engine was unable to get into Castletown harbour due to the direction of the wind. The owner had two other people on board who were not used to sailing yachts. The relief Trent , "Inner Wheel II", located the craft 200 yards west off Langness Point (inside Castletown Bay). They were taken under a short tow into the outer harbour at Castletown before the lifeboat returned to station by 19:50 BST.
