The Lifeboat crews carnival float.

One year we did a Baywatch float however we cannot show some of the pictures from that year ! During the parade the crew were called out to tow a small fishing boat which had broken down in a tide race to the south of the Calf of Man. Their crew was very surprised to see a lifeboat turn up to assist with some of the crew dressed in Ladies bathing attire !

Lifeboat Day 1992 and a guest appearance by the FAB3 prototype which became the Severn class of Lifeboat. It was doing a tour round the British Coast. Note the unusual colour scheme which was being considered a the timeand the USCG type stripe on the bow.

54-06 during Isle of Man trawler race day. Most of the Islands' fishing vessels competed in a race around a five mile circuit which used to take place in July. However due to the shrinking of the IoM fishing fleet the race is no longer run. Proceeds of half of the race fees and donations raised alot of money for the RNLI.

Members of the Ladies Lifeboat Guild (and others) running a plant selling stall on Lifeboat Day 1997. Also there were static displays of vintage cars and tractors, novelty stalls , demonstrations by Coastguard units and Firebrigade and dance troops. Lifeboat Day usually raise 2000 pounds towards the running of the RNLI.
